Client challenge

The newly appointed Managing Director of a fuel supply business unit became concerned that his relatively new, internationally diverse, team was not forward looking and was too pre-occupied with day to day operations and not focussed on a looming strategic risk.

What we did

A 4-day strategy retreat was designed and delivered to orientate the team around strategic thinking and to begin to form them into a high performing and cohesive team. Subsequently a full scenario planning process was completed, with corporate strategy development, and the design of an execution framework for the strategy delivery. A change agenda was developed to enable the delivery of the new strategy.

The result

A cohesive and energised team were prepared to seize the initiative and to face the developing challenges in their operating environment, using a balanced, progressive approach with real depth and resilience in it.
